My Journey to Becoming a Wedding Planner

Starting a business is often a leap of faith, and for me, it was a leap taken at age 21. I left my degree in Events Management, knowing that I wanted to dive straight into the world of wedding planning and event design. With just a passion for creativity and a vision, I launched Boelle Events, not entirely sure what the future held but certain I wanted to shape my own path.

The First Steps: Building Boelle Events from Scratch

In that first year, I poured everything into growing Boelle Events. I made calls, reached out to vendors, and connected with as many people in the industry as possible. By 22, I’d secured a full wedding season, filled with planning and design jobs across the country! It was an incredible experience, and I was learning from every client, every event, and every challenge that came my way.

Starting out young and diving into a competitive industry wasn’t easy, but looking back, those early experiences taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of building meaningful client relationships. Each event was an opportunity to refine my approach, ensuring each wedding reflected my clients’ personalities and visions down to the finest detail.

Taking My Business International: From the UK to Australia

A few years into my journey, an unexpected opportunity arose—I had the chance to work a winter wedding season in Australia! I collaborated with some of the top wedding and design companies in Byron Bay, a hub for incredible destination weddings. This experience expanded my horizons and gave me a deeper understanding of how to elevate my planning and design work. Working abroad was both creatively inspiring and gave me insights into different styles, cultures, and trends, which I now bring into every project.

Where We Are Today: High-End Weddings & Personal Freedom

After 10 years, Boelle Events has grown in ways I’d only dreamed of back then. Today, I primarily work with high-end clients in London and surrounding areas, offering a highly personalized and detailed service. I’m deeply committed to providing my clients with an experience that’s both seamless and unforgettable, from our initial meeting to the final moments of their special day.

One of the most rewarding parts of this journey is the freedom and flexibility it has given me. I’ve structured my business in a way that allows me to work on my own schedule, giving me precious time to spend with my kids and the flexibility to travel often. Choosing clients who align with my values and vision has allowed my business to grow organically, built on trust, creativity, and a shared vision for unforgettable events.

Looking Ahead

Starting Boelle Events was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It’s been a journey filled with long hours, creative problem-solving, and continuous learning. Each step has brought me closer to my vision of creating a business that reflects not just my passion for wedding planning but also a life filled with purpose, balance, and meaningful connections.

I hope my story inspires you to chase after what lights you up and build something truly meaningful.
